Dear 5F,

Please take note of your holiday homework:

St Gabriel's SA1 2009 English Paper (Annotate & highlight for Open-Ended Comprehension)
Fractions Worksheet (Show workings - you may use your calculator)

Please also take note that there will be supplementary classes on 23 and 24 June 2010 (last week of school holiday). It will be from 9am to 12 noon. I will issue the consent form tomorrow during your ICT training but do comment here if you are unable to attend and state the reason(holiday overseas, etc).

Dear 5F,

First of all, congratulations to those of you who did well in your SA1! Like what I have mentioned in class, most of you have shown remarkable improvement in your results as compared to CA1. To those who have improved, keep it up and continue to strive towards your goal!

To those who did not manage to achieve your goal, it is time for you to examine and reflect on why you did not manage to do so. Does it have something to do with your study habits? Do you always pay attention in class? Have you really put in your best effort?

Most importantly, do not give up and keep trying! Every failure is a step closer to success :)

For tomorrow, please remember to bring your Maths file. Make sure you get your parents' signature and have filed in all the worksheets in order. Thank you for your cooperation!

I have uploaded the online homework to Litespeed. You probably have 10 files inside your homework list now, and would need to click on page '2' to be able to see the homework that has been assigned by me. Look out for files titled 'Tenses and Concord 1' and 'Tenses and Concord 2'.

Journal (What's Your Goal for SA1?)
File in all your worksheets into EL (Including past year exam papers!)

Remember to revise for your exam this Monday. Study the Synthesis and Transformation worksheets as well as the ones in your English Core Worksheet. Please remember to highlight the main points when you are answering the Reading Comprehension questions. For MCQ, remember to eliminate answers which are definitely wrong.
