Diary of Anne Frank

Those of you who are interested can loan the book from the National Library. It is a good book to read to get an idea of what happened during the Holocaust.

For those of you who will be typing out your writing for the Overused Words worksheets, follow this step to use the Thesaurus tool in Microsoft Word:

1. Go to Tools/Review (for Microsoft Office 2007)

2. Go to Language -> Thesaurus/Go to Thesaurus (for Microsoft Office 2007)

3. Set the language to English U.K.

4. Ta-daa! Your list of words will be displayed. Choose wisely and make sure they fit your context!

If you are not using Microsoft Word, do use Thesaurus.com or a thesaurus to help you in your writing. Good luck!

Dear 5F,

Thank you for your hard work in school today! I really appreciate all the effort put in, especially those of you who came up on time to the class.

It has come to my attention that quite a number of you have not been bringing your work to school. I would like to remind you that you need to bring your homework to school whenever it is due (usually it is the next day, unless I announce otherwise). That includes bringing all the forms that I have instructed you to bring because I need to submit them to the office on time for processing. So let's be considerate and help each other out on this.

Dear 5F,

I hope that all of you have had fun during the camp! Many of you have written that you wish to learn about teamwork as well as to overcome your fear...have you achieved that at the end of your camp?

Do have a good rest this long weekend and don't forget to complete your homework. I hope you will take the lessons you have learnt during the camp (perseverance, teamwork, cooperation) to heart and come back to class on Monday feeling refreshed and ready for work again!
